Elect state and local leaders who will act on climate, advance environmental justice, and defend democracy.

    Protect Democracy

    At a time when democracy is under dangerous and consistent attacks from the Trump Administration, now is when we need your help to support leaders who will do everything they can to stand up to protect our sacred right to vote. We will work to elect pro-democracy leaders up and down the ballot who will protect voting rights and uphold election integrity.

    Elect and Re-Elect Green Governors

    Governors play a critical role in passing and implementing bold, just climate solutions. In 2026, more than two-thirds of states will have gubernatorial elections, and many of them will be among the most competitive races of the cycle.

WHAT'S AT STAKE

Choosing Governors, state executives and down-ballot candidates who will champion climate policy has never been a higher priority. These leaders will play a role in the implementation and protection of the Inflation Reduction Act, passing historic climate legislation at the state and local levels, and making sure gains in the states that were made in the last few years are not turned back.

  • We prioritize competitive races and help elect state and local candidates who will act on climate, advance environmental justice, and protect democracy.

  • We evaluate each candidate's voting record on environmental and pro-democracy policies. That way, you know you’re supporting a candidate who shares your values.

  • We evaluate a candidate’s chance of winning—so you can invest in races where your contributions will have the biggest impact.

  • We prioritize diversity and believe supporting candidates of color, women, and LGBTQIA+ candidates is integral to addressing the climate crisis and its direct impact on systematically marginalized communities.
