When We Disclose Your Information

We may disclose and/or share your information to or with third parties under the following circumstances:

  • With candidate committees to which you contribute.  When you contribute to candidates and committees on GiveGreen, we collect your name, postal address, phone number, email address, occupation, employer, and, in some cases, employer's address, depending on the type of contribution you’re making. Campaign finance law requires that we send your name, address, occupation, and employer information along with details of your donation to the recipient of your contribution.
  • Service Providers. We may provide access to or share your information with select third parties that perform services on our behalf. For example, we share your information with Democracy Engine, which processes your contributions.   • Within our Family of Organizations and with Collaborators. We may share your information with League of Conservation Voters and NRDC Action Fund and their associated PACs and affiliated organizations, and with other organizations with whom we may collaborate.
  • When you Contribute through a Personal Fundraising Page or an Event. When you contribute through a personal fundraising page or event created on the Website by someone else, we may share your information (but not your credit card information) with that person.
  • Protection of GiveGreen and Others. GiveGreen may access, preserve, and disclose your information if required to do so by law or in a good faith belief that such access, preservation, or disclosure is permitted by this Privacy Policy or reasonably necessary or appropriate for any of the following reasons:
    • to comply with legal process;
    • to enforce this Policy, including investigation of potential violations thereof;
