CANDIDATE BACKGROUND
Nadarius Clark is running to represent the 84th District in the Virginia House of Delegates. In 2021, Delegate Clark won a primary election against a long-standing incumbent, becoming the first Black person elected to represent the 79th District and the youngest Democrat ever elected to the Virginia General Assembly, at just 26 years old. He is deeply committed to progressive causes, with a strong focus on environmental justice, criminal justice reform, affordable housing, health care access, and education. As a young legislator, Nadarius brings a dynamic and fresh perspective to Virginia politics, striving to be a powerful voice for marginalized communities.
He supports massive investments to repair and modernize the Tidewater area’s infrastructure to adapt to changing climate and rising sea levels. He opposes continued construction of the Mountain Valley Pipeline, and will stand up to fossil fuel industry leaders who overcharge working families.
