CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

Mallory McMorrow is running to represent Michigan in the U.S. Senate. She is a current Senator in the Michigan legislature.  In the state senate, she has helped secure passage of the Clean Energy & Jobs Act, positioning Michigan with the strongest clean energy legislation in the Midwest. She also worked to create the first-in-the-nation Office of Worker and Community Economic Transition to spearhead the transition to clean energy while bringing workers and communities along to benefit

She is committed to tackling the climate crisis and growing Michigan’s economy at the same time by building a clean energy economy, upgrading infrastructure to withstand storms and floods, and restoring natural resources. She is committed to holding big polluters accountable, protecting the Great Lakes, and making sure every community has clean air and safe drinking water.
