CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

Haley Stevens is running to represent Michigan in the U.S. Senate. She is a current Congresswoman of Michigan’s 11th Congressional District. Prior to Congress, she served as chief of staff to the Auto Task Force inside the U.S. Treasury Department, which eventually helped save the auto industry and over 200,000 jobs in Michigan. Since then she has continued to work on programs focusing on job training and advanced manufacturing. In Congress, she has focused on clean and smart infrastructure, protecting  water from PFAS, and maintaining the health of the Great Lakes. Representative Stevens has earned a stellar lifetime score of 98% on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard
