Candidate Background

Representative Susie Lee is running for a fourth term to represent Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District. Lee is a prominent local activist and former environmental consultant. She helped found a homeless shelter and the “After-School All Stars” program, which provides after-school programs to around 5,000 Nevada kids. As a consultant, she worked on water management policy, toxic release monitoring, Clean Air Act compliance, and held corporations liable for environmental damages. She is a vocal proponent of conservation in Nevada, including the protection of the Basin and Range National Monument and Red Rock Conservation Area. In Congress, Lee will prioritize combating climate change, conserving our natural resources, and holding polluters accountable. While in Congress she has been a vocal proponent of conservation and protecting public lands in Nevada, including the protection of the Basin and Range National Monument and Red Rock Conservation Area  & championed the effort to designate Avi Kwa Ame a national monument. Representative Lee has earned a stellar lifetime score of 97% on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard. Representative Lee is endorsed by LCV Action Fund and NRDC Action Fund.
