CANDIDATE BACKGROUND
Sarah Trone Garriott is running to represent Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. She has led her community, as a minister, a nonprofit leader, and a State Senator. She has served as a State Senator since 2021. If elected to Congress, she will support investments in clean energy like wind and solar—which already power thousands of Iowa jobs—and will work with farmers to promote sustainable practices that maintain soil health and water safety.
