CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

Representative John Larson  is running for a fifteenth term to represent Connecticut's 1st Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. Prior to serving in Congress, he served in the Connecticut State Senate. After being named Senate President, he spearheaded a transformative agenda on behalf of working class families, including the nation’s FIRST family and medical leave act. In Congress, he has earned a 94% lifetime score on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard.
