CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

Representative Grace Meng is running for a seventh term to represent New York’s 6th Congressional District. Meng previously served in the state Assembly. She has been a consistent supporter of reducing carbon pollution that is driving climate change and investing in clean energy and energy efficiency. Meng has sponsored efforts to protect the Long Island Sound, Delaware River Basin, the Red Rock WIlderness and the Arctic. In Congress, Meng will continue to protect New York’s waterways, seek reductions in air pollution, and call for action on climate change. Representative Meng has earned a lifetime score of 98% on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard.
