CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

Representative Chrissy Houlahan is running for a fourth term to represent Pennsylvania's 6th Congressional District.  Houlahan is an engineer, Air Force veteran, businesswoman and chemistry teacher. She understands the threat that climate change poses to our planet and is committed to taking action to protect our air, land, water and to promote clean energy. Houlahan is proud to support the Great American Outdoors Act, as well as other bills that help with abandoned mine reclamation in Pennsylvania and keep clean the “downstream” waters like the Schuylkill and Susquehanna Rivers. Houlahan serves on the Women in STEM Caucus and the Bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucus. Representative Houlahan has earned a stellar lifetime score of 98% on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard.
