CANDIDATE BACKGROUND
Chris Pappas is running to represent New Hampshire in the U.S. Senate. He currently serves New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District. Prior to Congress, he served two terms in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, two terms as Hillsborough County Treasurer, and served on the state’s Executive Council.
In Congress, he has advocated for increased investments in clean energy and has opposed drilling off of New Hampshire’s coast. In Congress, he will continue to fight for strong environmental safeguards and advocate for action on climate change. Representative Pappas has earned a stellar lifetime score of 97% on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard.
