CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

Representative Chris Deluzio is running for a second term to represent Pennsylvania's 17th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. Deluzio is running for Congress to fight climate change, protect our air and water, and create good-paying, union jobs in the clean energy industry. Deluzio is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, served our country as an officer in the Navy and was deployed overseas multiple times including in Iraq. After receiving his law degree from the Georgetown University School of Law, Deluzio clerked for a federal judge and worked at the Brennan Center for Justice on the voting rights and election security. He has also served as the policy director of the University of Pittsburgh Institute for Cyber Law, Policy, and Security. Representative DeLuzio earned a 97% lifetime score on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard. Representative Deluzio is endorsed by LCV Action Fund.
