CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

Chris Mann is running for Attorney General of Kansas. He has dedicated his life to serving and protecting Kansas communities—first as a police officer and then as a prosecutor. He is running for Attorney General of Kansas to refocus the office on public safety and upholding the rule of law, not politics.

Chris’s life was forever changed when he was struck by a drunk driver during a routine traffic stop, ending his career in uniform. Determined to continue serving his community, he became a prosecutor, handling cases ranging from DUI to murder. He later served as a prosecutor for the Kansas Securities Commission, where he protected consumers by holding white-collar criminals accountable. Today, he represents victims of drunk driving in his private practice. With firsthand experience in law enforcement, prosecution, and victim advocacy, Chris will bring a unique perspective to the Attorney General’s office—one rooted in protecting the people of Kansas. He is running against incumbent Kris Kobach in a race named a top pickup opportunity by the Democratic Attorneys General Association.
