CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

Anand Patel was born in India and moved to the United States when he was two years old. Because of the example his parents set for him, he was able to work his way up from part-time employee at a local GNC, eventually venturing into entrepreneurship.

He first got involved in politics in 2015 when he ran for a place on the Bensalem School Board. That year, he was the only Democrat elected and proved that he could work across the aisle for the betterment of our schools. In the years that followed, he helped more Democrats get elected to the school board by knocking on doors, helping to turn out voters. When his term ended in 2019, he knew he wanted to do more for his community.

He supports the use of clean energy, recycling at home and at his businesses and any initiatives that will help keep communities clean and healthy.
