Representative Mike Levin is running for a fourth term to represent California’s 49th Congressional District.  Following law school, Levin became the Executive Director of the Orange County Democratic Party. He then joined a clean energy company, Better Energy Systems, as vice president. He worked at the law firm of Bryan Cave, before going to Ener-Core, another clean technology company. He most recently served as the Director of Government Affairs at FuelCell Energy. Levin has also served on the board of directors of the Center for Sustainable Energy and the California Hydrogen Business Council. He helped found CleanTech OC (now known as Sustain OC), a nonprofit that supports the clean tech industry in Orange County. In Congress, Levin will continue to fight for investments in clean energy to address the climate crisis, protect California’s coast and and find long-term solutions to the hazardous waste at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station. Representative Levin has earned a stellar lifetime score of 99% on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard.
