Minnesota Senate DFL Caucus

BACKGROUND

The Minnesota Senate DFL is the official organization of the Minnesota Senate Democrats. All 67 seats in the Minnesota State Senate are up in 2026.

Republicans currently hold four Senate districts that Kamala Harris won in 2024, along with three additional districts that Harris lost by less than 5 points, giving the DFL a huge opportunity to flip swing seats from red to blue. Already this year, our DFL-backed candidate outperformed Harris by 6+ points in a special election in a deep red district. To retain the majority, the DFL needs to protect three Senators who represent districts that Donald Trump won in 2024.
