CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

Stacey Seaman grew up in the rural community of Lake Havasu City and was involved in both her community and politics at an early age, as she was one of the founding members of the Young Democrats of America Club at her high school and also volunteered for her dad’s first legislative campaign when she was sixteen. She briefly attended college at Northern Arizona University before moving back home to complete an Associate’s Degree from Mohave Community College. She moved to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona and graduated with a degree in Music Education.

After graduation, she briefly taught music in Tucson before moving to Casa Grande to teach music in the Casa Grande Elementary School District. While working for the district, she was an honoree of the “Every Scholar Has a Teacher” award several times over. She served on the Casa Grande Arts and Humanities Commission for nine years, the Casa Grande Parks and Recreation Advisory Board for two years, and was a three-year member of the Creative Communities grant delegation through the Arizona Commission on the Arts. She has been a Casa Grande “Voices” of the Future Honoree, named an Exemplary Woman Leader for Pinal County, and a National Women in Business Week Honoree.

Stacey Seaman is running against a Republican that has failed to deliver for the district. During his time in the State Senate, Arizona has seen massive cuts to public education, attacks on elections, restrictive abortion laws, and attempts to dismantle laws that protect our precious groundwater.

She is running to protect our groundwater, make a responsible transition to green energy, and protect our natural resources.
