CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

Sara Agerton was born and raised in Cumberland County, and she's running to be the next State Representative for the 88th District of Pennsylvania. Sara earned her Masters in Social Work from Temple University, and has spent the last 20 years putting it to work for her community. Sara is proud to have supported some of the most vulnerable among us through their toughest times, working in guardianship and with at risk youth, and now in hospice. Sara has served on Mechanicsburg borough council for the last four years and was the driving force behind implementing the first comprehensive plan in 40 years, which invested in expanding community greenspaces, paving roads to help combat flooding, and reclaiming habitat for migrating birds. Sara is running for state house to ensure that money is invested equitably into good green jobs that will create the infrastructure we need to ensure clean air and water for generations.
