CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

Rebecca Bennett is running to represent New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. She is a former U.S. Navy helicopter pilot, officer in the Air National Guard, and business leader in healthcare. If elected to Congress, she will work to maintain environmental regulations to help limit pollution in our air and water. She supports preserving billions of dollars in environmental grants for organizations throughout New Jersey, investing in climate-resilient infrastructure projects that create good-paying jobs and protect New Jersey from damage from intensifying storms and flooding. She will also work to support New Jersey farms’ efforts to deal with extreme weather and a changing climate, and incentivize the use of renewable and green energy, including solar installation and electric vehicles.
