CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

Micah Lasher is running to represent New York’s 12th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He currently serves in the State Assembly and has most notably worked as Policy Director for Governor Hochul, Chief of Staff in the New York State Attorney General’s Office, Director of State Legislative Affairs for the City of New York under Mayor Mike Bloomberg, and as an aide to Rep. Jerry Nadler. In the State Assembly, he is leading the fight to allow New York to redraw its congressional lines in response to Texas’s unprecedented mid-decade redistricting.
