Matt Maasdam

Matt Maasdam is one of three climate champions running in the Democratic primary for the toss up House seat in Michigan's 7th Congressional District.

ON THE ISSUES

  • Committed to bold climate action

WHY THIS RACE MATTERS

  • Toss up House race - In 2024, the pro-environment candidate lost by less than 4% of the vote
  • Climate champions Bridget Brink and William Lawrence are also running in the Democratic primary
  • Flipping this seat in Michigan will help win a pro-environmental majority in the House, making it easier to pass climate legislation at the federal level
