CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

Katy Padilla Stout is running to represent Texas’ 23rd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. She is a lifelong Texan, wife, mother, attorney, and former public school teacher. Since 2017, Katy has served as an appointed member of the Bexar County Child Welfare Board, working to strengthen systems that protect vulnerable children and support families in crisis. Katy also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Artvango Therapeutic Services, a non-profit committed to uplifting and healing children affected by the cycle of abuse, poverty and trauma through the use of expressive therapies and caregiver involvement.
