CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

Katie Hobbs is running for reelection for Governor of Arizona. She has spent her career fighting for the people of Arizona, as Governor and Attorney General. 

As Governor, she has been committed to tackling the water crisis in Arizona. She hammered out a strong water policy compromise hailed as the most consequential Arizona water legislation since the Groundwater Management Act of 1980—one that will create jobs, lower housing costs, and conserve water. 

She is committed to securing and modernizing Arizona’s water supply by better conserving and managing our water, investing in and upgrading our infrastructure, and providing the leadership needed to bring Arizonans together so that every stakeholder has a seat at the table. She has also advocated for investing in a clean energy economy that lowers costs for Arizonans, diversifies energy infrastructure, and addresses the challenges brought by climate change.
