CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

Josh Shapiro is running for reelection for Governor of Pennsylvania. Prior to serving as Governor, he served in the Pennsylvania state legislature, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners in Montgomery County, and as Attorney General of Pennsylvania. 

As Governor, Josh Shapiro has been an incredible climate leader. During his tenure, he has fought to cut climate change-driving emissions, reduce pollution, and invest in clean, reliable energy in Pennsylvania. His Administration has worked to invest in clean, reliable, and affordable energy to create good-paying jobs for Pennsylvanians. He is committed to investing in Pennsylvania’s public lands and continuing to hold polluters accountable for excessive air and water contamination.
