CANDIDATE BACKGROUND
John McAuliff is running to represent the 30th House District in Virginia. He is a career public servant who has worked to keep farms in the family, create jobs in rural America, and secure Virginia's clean energy future. At USDA, he helped over 12,000 small businesses and farmers save billions and generate new revenue from renewable energy projects, and at the White House, John administered over $140M in Inflation Reduction Act funds. John previously served as chief of staff to Del. David Reid (D-Loudoun), where he helped author the Virginia Energy Plan to transition Virginia off fossil fuels by 2050.
