WHY THIS RACE MATTERS

  • Flipping this seat will help defend and expand the slim pro-environment majority in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives

CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

Hadley Haas is a community advocate running to represent the 44th District in Pennsylvania’s House of Representatives. Hadley graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Economics and Communications and has experience in a variety of marketing and communications roles. Her community advocacy was shaped by her experiences as a mother.

Hadley spent a decade as the Chair of the Friends of the Hearing Center at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. In that capacity she raised money to hire an Educational Liaison who is an unbiased champion for families of children with hearing loss (like hers).

As a leader with Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, Hadley worked to elect gun sense candidates, advocated for gun sense legislation and championed the work of community partners, including crime prevention through environmental design projects.

Hadley is running for State House to make the communities of her district safe, strong places where all children will want to settle and raise their families. That means protecting our air and water, and creating good-paying, union jobs in the clean energy industry, reducing gun violence and investing in public education.
