CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

Felicia Brabec is running to represent Michigan’s 15th Senate District. She has served two terms in the Michigan State House, and four terms as a Washtenaw County Commissioner. As a clinical psychologist she was the only mental health clinical practitioner in the House during her tenure. While in Lansing, she leveraged her background as a psychologist, small business owner, Commissioner, and mom to pass significant legislation. Rep. Brabec was instrumental in protecting abortion access, putting a firm end to Right to Work, enacting common sense gun legislation, expanding the Earned Income Tax Credit, and reducing the child-to-counselor ratio in schools. She sits on a variety of boards in the community, including Creative Washtenaw, Our Community Reads, the Washtenaw Community Mental Health Board (Chair), and Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels.
