CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

Representative Donald Norcross is running for a seventh term to represent New Jersey’s 1st Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. Prior to Congress, he began his career in organized labor in 1979, working as an electrical apprentice. He is former president of the Southern New Jersey Building Trades Council, state legislature, and served as president of the Southern New Jersey AFL-CIO Central Labor Council for 16 years. He has earned a 95% lifetime score on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard.
