CANDIDATE BACKGROUND
Daniel Biss is running to represent Illinois’ 9th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. After completing his Bachelor’s degree at Harvard University and his Ph.D. in mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he joined the University of Chicago’s mathematics faculty. He then served in both the Illinois state House and Senate, and was elected mayor of Evanston in 2021.
