CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

Cinde Warmington is running for Governor of New Hampshire. As the only Democrat on the Executive Council and the highest-ranking Democrat in state government, she was the last line of defense against Republican extremism, fighting to protect access to health care and affordable housing, defend public schools, safeguard reproductive rights, and expand access to child care services across New Hampshire. While on the Executive Council, she represented nearly 425,000 Granite Staters across 97 cities and towns, like Concord, Keene, and Lebanon, in eight of New Hampshire’s ten counties. After graduating from college, she started her career as a laboratory technologist at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia and later served in various health care management roles. After having her two children, Cinde decided to go to law school at what is now UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law in Concord. A health care attorney, she began her law practice at the law firm of Shaheen & Gordon P.A., and later became a partner and chair of the Health Care Practice Group. As an attorney, she spent decades in health care advocating for expanded access to mental health care, substance use disorder treatment, and telehealth services. As a volunteer, Cinde served on the boards of nonprofits across the state, including New Hampshire Professionals Health Program, Riverbend Community Mental Health, and the Lakes Region Mental Health Center, where she served as Chair. She is a recipient of the Lakes Region Mental Health Center’s Pete Harris Community Service Award for her advocacy work to raise awareness of mental health issues.
