CANDIDATE BACKGROUND
Representative Brendan Boyle is running for a sixth term to represent Pennsylvania’s 2nd congressional district. Prior to his election to Congress, Boyle served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for three terms, where he was an environmental champion and member of the "Green Dog" caucus. Since coming to Congress, he has been an outspoken supporter of the EPA’s Clean Power Plan, which sets the first ever limits on carbon pollution from power plants, and the EPA and Army Corps' Clean Water Rule, which protects Pennsylvania's streams from pollution. Representative Boyle has earned a 97% lifetime score on LCV's National Environmental Scorecard.
