CANDIDATE BACKGROUND
Ammar Campa-Najjar is running to represent California's 48th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He is a former Obama Administration official, AFT-union educator, and U.S. Navy officer. In 2020, during his first run for this seat, he became the first Latino-Arab American to run for Congress.
