Candidate Background

Representative Zoe Lofgren is running for her 15th term representing California's 19th Congressional District. Prior to her election to the U.S. House, Lofgren served on the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors. Representing the Silicon Valley region and as a Ranking member of the House Science, Space and Technology Committee, Lofgren is committed to building a clean energy economy and creating clean energy jobs.  A member of the Green Schools Caucus and the Safe Climate Caucus, she has also consistently supported efforts to cut carbon pollution and strengthen clean water protections. Her strong environmental record has earned her a 93% lifetime score on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard. Representative Lofgren is endorsed by LCV Action Fund.
