Candidate Background
Representative Norma Torres is running for a fifth term to represent California’s 35th Congressional District. Torres previously served in the state House and Senate and as City Councilwoman and Mayor of Pomona. She serves on the House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Water, Power and Oceans, and has taken a leading role in responding to California’s historic drought and speaking out about the impacts of climate change on her district and state. In Congress, Torres will continue to be a strong supporter of clean energy and limiting carbon pollution.
