Candidate Background
Nicole Sidman is an attorney and community leader who is running to represent Matthews, Mint Hill, and Charlotte in the North Carolina House. She has worked on political campaigns and in faith communities to build coalitions to address the most important issues of our time, including environmental justice, reproductive freedom, and economic inequality. Nicole has never been afraid to stand up to special interest groups and corporate PACs, and is running against an opponent who switched parties - and her positions on environmental issues - to get reelected.
Nicole believes there has never been a more important time to be an advocate for our environment. She is committed to investing in policy changes to address the climate emergency, and will vote to make North Carolina more resilient to the effects of climate change.
Nicole, her husband Eric, her son Charlie, and their dog Roxy live in Charlotte.
