State Senate, Minnesota - SD 53

Susan Kent

Running for third term
Prioritized clean energy and green infrastructure
Endorsed by the Conservation Minnesota Voter Center

Senator Susan Kent is running for her third term to represent district 53 in the Minnesota Senate.  Earlier this year, Kent was elected as the new minority leader of her caucus, and with a number of swing seats on the ballot in November, Kent is leading the campaign to flip the Minnesota Senate in November.  As a leader in the Minnesota Senate, Kent has prioritized clean energy and green infrastructure, and she sees investments in both as helping Minnesotans be good stewards and also creating good paying jobs across the state.  Kent understands the inequities that climate pollution has created in communities of color and under-resourced populations, and Kent is committed to a cleaner and more equitable Minnesota where strong state environmental policies make Minnesota a healthy state for all to live.  Senator Kent is dedicated to getting Minnesota on a path to 100% clean energy and her campaign to flip the Senate could make that policy a reality in 2021.  Senator Kent is endorsed by the Conservation Minnesota Voter Center.
