Bill Foster

Representative Bill Foster is running for a seventh term to represent Illinois’s 11th Congressional District. Foster previously served two terms in the U.S. House in the neighboring 14th District. As a physicist, he understands the need for investments in clean energy research and development that will decrease carbon pollution. Foster has called for a comprehensive energy strategy that would increase energy efficiency, expand federal research and development programs, and bring new clean energy products to consumers. He is a sponsor of a bill to expand Department of Energy programs to track real prices of energy production along with data on climate-changing pollutants. In Congress, Foster will continue to fight for clean energy research and development. Representative Foster has earned an 95% lifetime score on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard.
